Hello,

Just want to clear things up. For supervisa, parents can stay up to 2 years per visit. So if you have a multiple visa of 10years basically you can extend your stay up 10 years without going back home. You just need to make sure to apply for an extension 30 days early before you visa expires, correct?

Also do parents under go interview with the immigration when they landed to Vancouver or Toronto Airport?

No - this doesn't mean they can stay for 10 years straight. They can apply for an extension - however whether that extension is approved for not is up to IRCC. You should assume it won't be possible for them to stay for 10 years straight.

Parents go through immigration when they arrive which does include a conversation with a CBSA officer.

Thank you so much for the clarification scylla. So based on your experienced helping others. Can my parents say that they want to stay up to 2 years if they officer ask them how long they will be staying in Canada?
My dad can understand English but don’t speak much so I have to tell him what to say so we will come prepared.

Another clarification question for our consultant here.
My dad was granted a multiple visa with 10years validity. We wanted him to stay to Canada up to 2 years and we already bought a 1 one-way ticket. Do you guys think CBSA officer will ask for return ticket?
(as far as I know you cannot buy a return ticket with 2 years validity)

As long as he has a super visa, a one way ticket is fine.

If he has a regular TRV that is multiple entry, he needs to have a return ticket or he can expect issues boarding the plane to Canada (airline will refuse boarding most likely).

We applied for a Supervisa and was approved. He was given a multiple entry of 10 years. Was confused me a little was the “VISITOR” on his passport. Should it says SUPERVISA or something else?

Applying for a supervisa doesn't guarantee that's what will be approved. In some cases, IRCC decides to approve a regular TRV instead.

Is there any kind of code you see on the visa? PG1? V1?

He received a PG1 Visa which I assume a supervisa.
