Wife's brother is considered as brother?

Hi guys,

I am applying EE recently. My wife (citizen) has one brother (same parents as my wife) living in Canada. He is citizen as well. Am i able to get 15 score?? From the description, looks like i can have extra 15 score

10) Do you or your spouse or common law partner (if they will come with you to Canada) have at least one brother or sister living in Canada who is a citizen or permanent resident?​

Note: to answer yes, the brother or sister must be:

• 18 years old or older
• related to you or your partner by blood, marriage, common-law partnership or adoption
• have a parent in common with you or your partner

A brother or sister is related to you by:​

• blood (biological)
• adoption
• marriage (step-brother or step-sister)

The problem is that, when I fill in the application. The questionnaire only let me choose one relative in Canada. I choose spouse and then i don't get 15 score. Anyone has similar case? Thanks a lot.

If your spouse is Canadian you cannot claim her brother.

Why do you need to fill EE if your wife is a canadian citizen? She can sponsor you

Oh yeah, that's a good question. I thought EE is faster than sponsor method, and materials are more straight forward.. But now the score is crazy high...

If your spouse is Canadian you cannot claim her brother.
