When do you get the Biometric's request? When we applied in Nov 2018 it wasn't required at that time. Anyone in a similar situation?

Not sure because we didn't had to do it also,when we applied that wasn't required also,so we didnt had to do that and they never request it either.

If you applied before Dec 2018 you don't have to do biometrics for that country and for a few others (such as Cuba). But if you do a visitor visa in the meantime (While you wait) you WILL have to do biometrics for that.

Haven't heard anything more and it's our one year mark today!

Not sure what else they could ask for but my husband's medical expires on March 21/20. If we could just get PPR soon, we could still make it to Canada before his medical expires. Sigh .....

I seriously dont know what is happening at this vo... they are in 90% of case always in late. Is super frustrating.

Welcome to the club, my application is also one year old and I haven't even started the bgc yet. I hope we can have some news this month. You can also ask for the notes.

Of course, I asked what was going on if I needed an interview or any additional documents and all I got was an automatic response. I asked for the notes now i have to wait and see what it says there.

When you receive the notes check in the upper right hand corner of the pages , if you see a little sec 15 , rest assured that background has been going on in the background . They will never let you know because it’s confidential . Info sharing is another clue the background is going on as well , if you see info sharing complete that means they have initiated

mine says Information sharing : Completed and it's notes since May 2019 hehe so i would guess at this time this should be finished just waiting the final phase approval and all will change here.

They mention that most changes appear almost at the end of the timeline.. so i guess i am at that stage now.


Based on Website of Quebec , the CSQ should be completed or done by Mid-January or around.

None of my husbands things updated until after the interview, and background started after his interview so I just don’t think they update much as our still says we are still reviewing if you meet eligibility yet he already submitted his passport so I think they are extremely horrible at updating their systems.

lol yeah i've heard about this flaw.

Mine got some updates... just the Biometric never been applied lol i know it's completed i've called months ago on it.
all i know is it's at Mexico since October 25th... not yet asked for anything (ADR..) just a line that says started processing since November 19th and that is all.
