Can you request a refund on a ircc payment receipt that you haven't sent in to ircc ? The payment was by mistake.

Yes. But one of the situations bellow must applies to you. To request a refund

1. Sign in in to the account you created with our payment service
2. Under “My receipts,” find the correct receipt in the list and select “Get receipt” to view it
3. Select “Request a refund”

If any of these happens to you;

• they are collected in error;
• they are collected in excess of requirements;
• an applicant requests the withdrawal of the application before the application has been processed;
• an applicant who has paid a privilege fee (e.g., the Right of Permanent Residence Fee) is not granted or does not exercise the right;
• an applicant paid a fee for a service fee and is subsequently determined to qualify for a fee exemption; or
• an applicant submits an application for which service cannot be granted because of their status.

IRCC has nothing to do with tuition fees. You need to contact the school to request a refund. Each school has different refund policies and processing times.
