Hello Everyone
My parents don’t have their marriage certificate and DOB certificates. And they are here in Canada. How can I get their affidavits made while being in Canada?

Hi Everyone,

I have a question related to income.

I am going to try for my Parents Sponsorship in 2020. Currently, I, my 2-year-old son and my spouse live together. We both work full time.

So when I apply for my parent's sponsorship(father & mother), how many persons will be counted for in the income chart?

CIC Websites says :
Total number of persons you would be responsible for

Will it be I + my son + my parents (being sponsored) = 4 people
or
Will it be I + my son + spouse + my parents (being sponsored) = 5 people

And Having my in-laws on Super VISA makes any difference in counting total number of persons responsible for here ?

Please help

Thanks
Silvi

5 and in addition to that also count any person who is not 22 that is dependent on your parents + any person you or your spouse may have sponsored in the past. You must meet the income requirement for the 17, 18, 19

Update on 2020 Parents and Grandparents Program (30 Dec 2019)
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/news/notices/parents-grandparents-2020-update.html

Ottawa, December 30, 2019 —To ensure that Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has sufficient time to complete the development of a new intake process for the 2020 Parents and Grandparents Program, the reopening of the program will be postponed until Ministerial Instructions are issued.

This means that the opportunity to express interest in sponsoring a parent or grandparent will not take place on January 1, 2020. Further information about the expected launch date and 2020 intake process will be available in the new year.

This will give all interested sponsors the same opportunity to submit an interest to sponsor form and a fair chance to be invited to apply.

We encourage all interested potential sponsors and stakeholders to stay up to date on the next Parents and Grandparents Program intake process by visiting IRCC’s website and social media channels:

Looks like we’ll still be submitting an interest to sponsor form. Curious to know what that new process is going to look like. Thanks for the update!

Sounds like they have revamped the program significantly. Interested to see but suspect the application will be closer to the tax filing date. Hopefully that will prevent people from applying without the income needed.

They may be making a whole new program for this... Hopefully it will happen sometimes in 2020, not like the last time that they closed for 3 years!

And it could take time before they release the new system as mentioned in temporary ministerial instructions.

"These instructions will allow the Department sufficient time to complete the development of a new application intake management process for the parents and grandparents sponsorship program, to be implemented in 2020. The Minister intends to issue further Instructions relating to the intake management process for the parents and grandparents program by April 1, 2020, at the latest."

What could be on the table I wonder...
1/ "This will give all interested sponsors the same opportunity to submit an interest to sponsor form..." ---> You will have maybe 1 month to fill in the form and click submit
2/ "... and a fair chance to be invited to apply." ---> This is tricky though... we had "Lottery" so far, and we know it does not work well... What could then be heh?

I guess similar to comprehensive ranking system. Like in Express Entry.
