Hi All

I'm planning to apply for a Canadian PR and have a written job offer from an employer from Canada. The employer in Canada is a sister-concern of my US employer and will recognize my experience and skill-set in US.

The employer has not provided me with a copy of LMIA yet.

Question: Considering I've have a job offer from US to Canada with the same company / sister concern, will it be considered LMIA exempt under the condition of intra-company transfer or do I need to request for a LMIA document from the Canadian employer?

Appreciate your guidance.

You need an LMIA to get the 50 job offer points.

If you wanted the points without an LMIA, your employer would first need to move you to Canada under an ICT work permit and you would have to work for that employer in Canada for a full year. Only then would you qualify for the 50 points.
