Quick question guys, my wife is working as Noc B but her employer did not provide a offer letter. Now that we have the 3 payslips, which kind of letter should we ask from the employer? Just a single page letter stating her tasks and responsibilities? Should it mention any noc code? Should it have "offer letter" as title or just "statement" is enough? Thanks
u need a job letter, stating her job position (noc code -not mandatory) and her job duties.

What do you mean with implied status? You are in implied status when you apply for a PGWP or an OWP and are waiting for an response. The only time you could have worked is between you finish your classes and are waiting for the convocation notification from college, if you received the notification and continue working while you get the pay stubs you had infringe the conditions of your Visa. Even though if you worked during that time your status as student haven't change because you have not receive a new one. For what I know your spouse can receive a new OWP only if you a worker status. I have heard of a couple of people who applied at the same time and get both applications approved
Got approval -fr me and my husband together on 22 oct

Hi everyone...my husband and I got our SP and OWP extension and it will expire on July 31, 2020.

I will graduate on April 2020 and will have a full time NOC B job offer as soon as I graduate. I am planning to apply for my PGWP together with my husband’s SOWP as soon as I get the 3 paystubs 45 days after, so it will be June 2nd week by then. However, processing time is 104 days - so we will be on implied status when our visas expire in July 31.

My question is...can my husband continue to work while we wait for our PGWP and SOWP and even if our visa expired already?

Your response will greatly help a lot. Also, we have an 11-yr old daughter in this application. Good thing, it will be summer by then while we wait for our PGWP, SOWP and STUDENT PERMIT so she does not have to stop school.

Thank you for your quick reply. Also, I am currently working on this skilled job part-time...will they accept 3 paystubs from my part-time skilled job for my husband’s SOWP application? Coz if so, this will save us 45 days of waiting for the 3 full time paystubs.

Thank you once again.

Hi.

Please help.

A friend of mine is working in NOC B job (part time 20 hrs/week). He wants to apply for pgwp and extend his wife's open work permit. Can he use the job offer letter that he has (says part time) and 3 pay slips to apply for his wife's sowp along with his pgwp application ?

He is confused of he needs full-time employment in NOC o, A , B for his wife to apply. Please advise. There is so much confusion around this.

This is what we found on cic website. This doesn't say anything about full time position.

"If your spouse has an open work permit (e.g. post-graduation work permit), you must attach a copy of your spouse’s work permit to your application for an open work permit, along with:

  • a letter from your spouse’s current employer that confirms they work there in a NOC 0, A or B occupation, or a copy of your spouse’s employment offer or contract, and
  • a copy of your spouse’s recent pay slips"
Thanks

My apologies. I did not see your response in my previous thread. However, there are so many conflicting thoughts on different forms and I just wanted to clarify. Really appreciate your help! Thank you !

Hi There,

I'm in a similar situation, but our visas(SP and OWP) are expiring on March 31, 2020.

We have 2 kids going to elementary school and are on visitor visa status expiring on March 31, 2020 as well.

Will you be applying for a visitor record for your daughter?

Hi Everyone,

Quick question. Can I extend my OWP without submitting my wife's PGWP approval?

My wife has applied for PGWP and my OWP will expire before receiving her PGWP approval. I will have had only employment letter and pay slips by the OWP expiry date, not PGWP.

If your wife has a skilled job and the 3 payslips, yes.

Hi,

my spouse has an open work permit and my study permit and both expiring on 01 Aug, 2015. I have a fulltime permanent job offer in a skilled category job, since it takes too much time (currently 89 days) to process PGWP, we have applied for my PGWP and spouse open work permit extension at the same time on May 23, 2015, I have attached my fulltime permanent job offer letter with my spouse open work permit application but could not add my salary stub as I was not received my first salary stub at the time of application. then my wife called CIC on Jun 05, 2015 and added a note on her application that she want to add my salary stub to the application.

I don't know if this is going to work, but my wife can not simply wait for my PGWP, as her open work permit would have expired by the time.
You are saying you have submitted your job offer letter with your SOWP, but you have also said CIC again asked for reference letter again. How is that happened. And did you submit pay slips as well?

I have the same case my study visa expires on 30th March 2020 and my spouse's OWP expires on 30th March 2020. I have applied on 22nd Feb for PGWP for me and OPW for my spouse together. I have attached my job offer letter but didn't paystubs since I don't have yet. I will call them and let them know once I have 3 paystubs. My spouse will stop working from 30th march onwards since her visa expired on that date.

Your husband didn’t qualify for OWP. You need to be working in NOC 0, A or B and submit 3 pay stubs to qualify.
