Hi,

I landed in Canada some 9 years ago. I settled there without my wife who was inadmissible due to misrepresentation. I couldn't sponsor her nor my daughter. The immigration officer said that I didn't declare that I was engaged when I landed in Canada. Anyways, After 5 years of living in Canada, I applied for the citizenship and was granted it back in 2016, then left Canada to be with my wife and daughter and keep looking for a solution.. My question is: will our child get the citizenship through me as a Canadian citizen while my wife is inadmissible?

Thank you for sharing your input

Of course as you are Canadian before the child's birth. Doesnt matter what the citizenship of your wife is or her legal status is. Just go ahead and apply for citizenship proof of your child.

1. Actually it depends on the date of birth of child, if the OP was not a citizen at the time of her birth, or she is not a PR, then she is not eligible for a proof of citizenship.

Was your daughter born before you became PR and did you include her in the original application? If not included in original application then its a problem. My friend's friend did not include them as dependent hence later he never could.
If your child was born after your PR(or included in your initial application) then you can sponsor. Not sure what you meant by you could not sponsor.
