Hi, I received a test invite Dec 27th via e-mail, ECAS says they sent us a mail on Dec 16th which I still haven't received (so, not sure if this will be arriving or am I contacting them? or do I just printout my e-mail test invite?)
Test date is Jan 27th in Edmonton. Thanks

Hey guys.
I have 2 questions:

1) Do you see the test invitation online (check your application status)?
2) Do they send you confirmation by e-mail as well? My AOR was sent by email and I could see it online, but "in process" only online.
3) Is that possible that they only send by mail (I'm traveling right now), and nowhere else so I could miss it?

This is what I see online in ecas:

  1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on July 19, 2019.
  2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on October 5, 2019.
  3. We started processing your application on November 13, 2019.

Thanks

1) The test invitation online only lists the date and time. The actual place/list of documents to bring will be sent to you via e-mail. I've seen some cases where the invitation is sent my snail mail.
2) Only AOR is sent by e-mail. Steps like in process/decision made are updated on ECAS without sending the applicant an e-mail.
3) Fingerprint requests, if needed, more often than not, are sent via snail mail. But they are also updated in ECAS so you will know when you have received a correspondence.

Good luck!
