Hi all.

I am a married women who recently cleared the IELTS exam and want to immigrate to Canada under express entry.
But as of now as the score is going really high with the last draw upto 472 i am really afraid if i will be able to make cut.
My CRS score with family is 443 , and someone told me that i can apply right now as a single applicant with CRS score as 462, and come to Canada on PR and once i have the PR card the i can call my husband and daughter too.
So is there anyone who has proceeded this way ?

Yes!!

you can apply as a single applicant and once you are here, you can invite your spouse and daughter as dependents.

To be very clear, you CANNOT apply as single. You would apply as married with your spouse listed as non-accompanying. There is no points difference in having your child as accompanying, so you should include her as accompanying with yourself.

Agree! She should also make sure she includes all family members including her spouse and kids even if they are not coming with her now. Your daughter should be fine to accompany. However, you should also work on financial factor, later should you get an ITA.

But you have to declare that you are married and mark them as non-accompanying, with a reason why they're not accompanying. Do not apply as single.

Thanks for a quick reply, so are there any chances that husband can accompany me on visitor visa ?

It's likely that a TRV (visitor visa) would be denied under these circumstances.

He could accompany you on Visitor visa if he has one. Ensure you state low crs points as reason why you didn't add him to your application
I'm not convinced that giving "low CRS points" as a reason is a good thing... Caveat Emptor

Any reasons why you're not convinced?

Any rule states one can't apply separately and sponsor spouse at a later date due to low crs scores?
No rule states that BUT we have seen cases recently where there is a clear intent to bring the whole family to Canada but they have been flagged as non-accompanying, and the Visa Officer processing the application has taken a very negative view. In some cases a PFL has been issued. Hence my concern at not "poking the bear".
