Can anyone advice best option for a family friend who wishes to visit cousins, friends, and relatives living in Canada.
A thirty years old, male, single, director of a company, with host of assets, property and good bank statement in the balance of 17,000cad.
Note, our friend (applicant) do not plan residing in Canada for now. Because, he inherited many landed properties worth millions of dollars. Appreciating your response in advance.

not sure what you are asking, if he wants to just visit the best option is to apply for a temporary resident permit. the friend must prove that they have a good reason to visit, that they can pay for their own trip and that they will return to their home country.

Thanks a lot for taking time to response. I really appreciate it. Do you mean Temporary Resident Permit (TRP) or Temporary Resident Visa (TRV)?
Yes, he can demonstrate that he can pay and return to home country, but the "good reason" is what he need help with. I do not know if a friend birthday party is a good reason? Also, he is considering participating in an international event taking place in Canada next year. He is a member of the organisation. Thank you for your help.

my apologies....TRV temporary resident visa.
A good reason could be to visit family and friends. He can get invitation letters from them, and also detail what he plans to do during the duration of his trip. What sites does he wish to see. Like a day to day itinerary.

A good reason is the REAL reason backed up with a brief cover letter explaining the trip and why he or she needs to go back to home country.

Thanks at jets13 and jddd. I am grateful. One more question: can he combine family visit (invitation letter provided) with attending international event in Canada? Do you think it is contradictory? What if the family and friends have invited more than 6 applicants in the last 12 months? Thanks await your response.

I agree with JDDD, your friend should just put what the real reason they want to visit is....assuming it is genuine. I don't think it matters that they have invited others as their invitation does not hold them to any obligation. If the reason to visit is genuinely to attend this conference and also visit friends then put the truth.

Would his employer be paying for the cost of travel and conference registration? That would no longer be tourism.

This is highly unusual for a business conference.
He works with NGO on full-time (the NGO want him to represent the organisation). And work part-time with another company. Do you suggest he should talk to the NGO management if they are able to sponsor the trip? Also, can he also submit his bank statement to support whatever the organization provides him?

He wouldn’t need the bank records of the organization the organization would need to provide proof they are sponsoring his attendance to the conference and his registration (make sure it is refundable). Also need to explain why this is the first conference he is attending as their representative. Where is the person from? That will also influence approval.
