Hi, I have applied for PR under CEC class and it has crossed 6 months frame recently. I have also submitted for BOWP but the processing times are around 100days. My present Work permit expires in Feb and I have a travel plan in March. My question is
1. Are there any options for my travel if I don't get any update on my PR or BOWP by the time I travel?
2. Can I apply for a Bridge open work permit at any of the Canadian borders?

1.wether you can enter the country or not will not be effected by if you have a valid work permit or not. it depends on if you have a valid visa or not.
2.no, it can only be applied online.

- o apply for BOWP you must be in Canada and on a valid work permit status so I think BOWP you CAN NOT do at the border.

yes you can. if your current work permit is an open one then you are on implied status after you submitted a BOWP application and before IRCC makes a decision. you can work and apply for a TRV as well.

Yes, but if I travel abroad on implied status I guess I will loose the status and I wont be able to continue to work

no you wont lose it . you can still work, what you described only applies to the implied status when applying for visitor extension.

I am confused now, let me explain to you I am an Indian citizen, my PR is under process and my open work permit expires in February 2020, also my visa expires in February 2010. Now I need to travel to India in March 2020. I am working full time in Ontario, so what are the options I have to travel to India in March 2020 and come back to Canada and still be able to work without losing my current job.

Indian citizens need a visa printed on their passport to enter to Canada. Your option is visitor visa which is TRV.

That is incorrect, the OP is right - if someone is on implied status and leaves Canada, they lose implied status. IF they are permitted to re-enter the country as a visitor, they cannot work until they receive the new work permit.

If you have not received your BOWP by then and you want to be able to continue working, the advice would be, don´t leave Canada - I would advise postponing the trip until you have received the BOWP. As you know, you would lose implied status if you leave Canada.

No.
