IRCC system failure

I have a complex situation with my PR application, and need advice.

I am currently still in Canada, and I tried to apply for PR Express Entry (under CEC class) last week however the IRCC online system had a technical error and shut down for a few days so no applications could be sent/processed. In that time, my IEC visa expired, and I had no way of obtaining the PR receipts and thus applying for bridging visa and implied status. The online system is still down and I am still waiting to apply. I need advice.

My job here in Vancouver has told me to take 3 months voluntary leave unless I can show them a work permit or restoration of status. Please help.

You can't work, sadly, even though the system was down. Your status is expired.
Thanks. Would you know if I would be able to apply for restoration of status and return to work with a restored status? Or wait til the PR is issued?

Unless you meet some criteria to be eligible to work (e.g. have an LMIA), you will not be restored as a worker. You could apply to restore status as a visitor, but of course you would not be authorized to work.

This is really unfortunate. Is there any chance you would be eligible for another IEC permit?

No as originally my work didn't want to do an LMIA. And now they are only giving me 3 months leave to produce a work permit of somekind (i assume they think I'll have the PR by then - I'm applying through Canadian Experience class).
I can't get another IEC (age range is 18-30 for UK, and I'm 1 year above that) I'm not sure if it may be a good idea to get a lawyer involved after I submit the PR (I still can't at the moment at there's still the technical error in my account)
