I would hope that anyone regardless of citizenship doesn't get scammed but unfortunately, there will always be uneducated/desperate/scared/gullible/etc. people and the people who want to take advantage of that.

But focusing on Canada immigration anyone who can use a computer can help themselves with a few google searches to get some clues as to whether an offer is fake or not. Always amazes me when people post a copy of an offer with a website link, a hotel for example, and when accessing the link they are not suspicious seeing pictures of either a beach in Calgary or a tropical scene complete with palms say in downtown Toronto. Yet still they need to ask this forum fake or not.

Genuine but offering an immigration shopping list Canada or Australia and not willing to share the name of the employing company plus rarely if ever does a company provide accommodation unless a live in position for example.

Assume you also checked the average PA salary in Canada 50-60k not 100k. Australia average around 60-65k not 120k.

Guess you were suspicious but if you still think is genuine then good luck and hope you meet the 40 percent appearance benchmark

You can pursue it. Just dont pay him any money at all.

Oil and gas in Canada is in the doldrums right now and I dont see anyone paying CAD8500 for a personal assistant.

It is still a very obvious fake. If you continue, you will lose money.
