17 days since prearrival waiting anxiously. Please pray

so you and I both received Pre-Arrival Letter on Nov 26 and waiting for PPR. where is your nationality ? because I am Afghan, it takes longer; my background check started July 2019 and it is done by partner agencies in Canada NOT the London office - checks usually takes 6-12 months from the date initiated. I hope we receive a response before the new year

Why is biometrics done immediately after AOR 1 in some cases and much later in the process for the others. Does it have any bearing on background checks etc?

Good question , I was wondering the same thing , my wife’s bio request came at the same time as medical request exactly one month after AoR 1, most people I have seen get bio req several months after, just right before AOR2.

My husband's was right after AOR1 too. We got medical and bio one day after the other. It's strange because why would they make someone do a medical so early? What if it expires and then they have to go do another? Wouldn't it make more sense to do background and then medical?
