Visitor Visa is their own application. It is not 'sponsored'.Thanks for the input.
So, normal visitor visa can be applied for parents even with US employment right? Then later on it can be transferred to SuperVisa?

Understood. So, for visitor visa, all CIC needs is enough funds and letter of invitation as one of the required documents. One last query, during TRV application, parents need to mention that their Son is PR of canada, will that be a problem in approval of TRV? Or that should not be an issue?Visitor Visa is their own application. It is not 'sponsored'.
No, that will support their application.Understood. So, for visitor visa, all CIC needs is enough funds and letter of invitation as one of the required documents. Thank you for your valuable input. No, that will support their application.
Your parents will have to show more than funds they need to show strong ties to home, enough funds to pay for their travel and previous international travel to countries similar to Canada helps. Supervisa can only be applied for from their home country. There are drawbacks when not working in Canada.Understood. You have to be physically present in the US in L2 status in order to apply. Also, your spouse must be maintaining L1 status.Hello guys,
I am a PR and currently, I am living in Windsor, ON, Canada. Also, I have L2 visa for the U.S.
Can I apply for EAD to work in the U.S and keep living in Windsor?
In the form to ask for EAD (form i-765), there are two questions:
1. Your U.S Mailing Address
2. U.S Physical Address
As I am living in Windsor, Canada. What should I put in this case?
Thank you in advance!
Hi, I have a query regarding applying for Nexus card.Your parents will have to show more than funds they need to show strong ties to home, enough funds to pay for their travel and previous international travel to countries similar to Canada helps. You can apply.Hi, I have a query regarding applying for Nexus card.
I just became PR of Canada 2 months ago and living in Metro Detroit from past 4 years (student visa and then work visa). Do I become eligible to apply Nexus card or does an applicant has to stay for 3 years in Canada as PR in order to become eligible?
Please assist.
Thank you
Thank you for your response. You can apply.
If you call border guys at both ends would tell that you need 3 years as a PR which is not true as i also got wrong information from them initially and i went ahead to apply because it was not specified as a rule to prove residency only in one country. So dont take their word for it and simply apply for it.
All they need is 3 years on any/both countries in the last 3 years.
Give the address of where you reside at the time of application. Its better you either apply now with detroit address or move to windsor(get the license) and then apply.Thank you for your response.
I can provide past 3 years US address history. Currently, I am in process of moving address from US to Canada. I have one temporary address of Toronto (my cousin's place) and an Detroit address. I will be moving in Windsor area soon.
So, Should I provide Detroit address or Toronto (temp.) address at the time of Nexus application?
Thank you for your valuable input. I applied for Nexus for me and my wife using Detroit address.Give the address of where you reside at the time of application. Its better you either apply now with detroit address or move to windsor(get the license) and then apply.
its better you apply now as it will take time for you to get your address and ID. Having license on the address you give will be easier to get clearance or else the application might take time(dont know).
US banks dont care about which address you update with. Give known address.Thank you for your valuable input. I applied for Nexus for me and my wife using Detroit address.
Now, once I get the Canadian address and considering the fact that I still would like to keep US bank accounts open, can I give one of my relative's (or friend's) US address at US (chase or bofa) bank? Or do US banks accept canadian addresses without any issues?
That sounds good. Thanks again.US banks dont care about which address you update with. Give known address.
Some banks like bank of america accepts international address too. Not sure about chase or other banks. You need to call them or try updating online if they have option to update nonUS address.
