Hi All,

My Spouse has done 3 years diplom---> bachelor's degree(3 years with lateral entry)--> 1 year post graduate diploma.

The ECA report summary says:
Bachelor's degree(4 years) and post graduate diploma(1 year)

Now how should we add this to his express entry profile to gain points of Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees.
You will add each credential separately and the system will automatically calculate points for 2 or more.

tried that already the score remains the same... does the order of the education credentials matter .. i mean the latest education on the top or at the last as we enter

Order doesn't matter. Remove the diploma and see what points you get. Then add the diploma and the points should increase by 32 assuming IELTS CLB 9.

Do you know what is the recommended point total to have decent chance to get an invite?

You need the diplomas evaluated by wes and see what is the outcome. No one knows here. I had a top up degree from UK and i only studied the 3rd year from University , yet my evaluation came up as 4years bachelors degree as well as 2 years diploma. I have a PR now and living in Canada. Hope it helps

Well, the last three draws were for 471, 472 and 475. I still think that people with 460+ have a decent chance to get an ITA in the next few months but anything below that should try to max out their score either with CLB 10, TEF, a second credential or look at other ways such as PNP or Student Visa.

Guys, my WES summary says
My WES evaluation summary is:
Bachelor's degree (4 yrs) and completion of an executive management program offered by a graduate school of business

While entering the LEVEL OF EDUCATION in the express entry form,
I have selected BACHELOR'S DEGREE and One year program at University

But the score calculator is not calculating scores for 2 or more certificates...I am given scores as per only my bachelor's.
Pls help....

Your equivalency is just a Bachelor's degree. Since the second credential does not mention the duration, it cannot be used. You should get it evaluated from CES.

But how come? 2 or more certificate option says that one should be 3+ and other can be a certified course.
Their tool calculates on the option that we select. I have selected 4 yr and 1yr option out of the options given.

The equivalency for each credential has to be mentioned for it to be valid. The tool assumes the same. Quoting from another thread about the same :

Unfortunately you cannot use WES report to claim points for your "executive management program offered by a graduate school of business" because WES report did not mention the Canadian equivalent duration of the program! Without knowing the duration, how would you know which level of education you need to select? In EE profile you do not have the option "Two or more...." rather you have to select level of education for each completed credentials.

This is actually not WES's fault! They are not authorized to evaluate such credentials!

Don't worry you have alternatives to claim points for such credential. I have not done ECA for similar credential but following process should work!

Two or more post-secondary credentials (three-year or longer post-secondary credential required)
Points:
22

Designated organizations assessment outcomes
A three-year or longer post-secondary credential in combination with any of the post secondary educational credentials listed below. This excludes secondary school credentials.

Post-secondary educational credentials could also include post-baccalaureate or post-graduate credentials as follows:
  • Post-bachelor’s certificate
  • Post-undergraduate certificateFootnotei
  • Post-bachelor’s diploma
  • Post-undergraduate diplomaFootnotei
  • Graduate certificate
  • Graduate certificate with a focus in [area of concentration]Footnotei
  • Postgraduate certificate
  • Postgraduate diploma
  • Graduate diploma with a focus in [area of concentration]Footnotei
  • Graduate diplomaFootnotei
  • Two-year postgraduate diploma, specializing in [name of discipline]
  • Two-year bachelor’s degree after a degree with a focus in [area of concentration]Footnotei
  • One-year postgraduate certificate in [name of discipline]
  • One-year of graduate study with a focus in [area of concentration]Footnotei
  • Study toward a master’s degree

If you click on the "Footnotei" mentioned above then you will read this message-

This equivalency assessment outcome applies to reports issued by either the International Credential Evaluation Service (ICES), British Columbia Institute of Technology, or the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS), Government of Alberta. These designated organizations provide equivalency assessment outcomes in English only.

Basically WES cannot evaluate such credentials, you need to do it from either International Credential Evaluation Service (ICES), British Columbia Institute of Technology, or the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS), Government of Alberta.

Hope you find this useful. Good Luck!

edit: By the way if you do another ECA just for your graduate program from ICES or IQAS then there is no problem to use both WES report and report form ICES or IQAS. I mean, you can use WES for Bachelors and ICES or IQAS for graduate study. No issues!

I do not think that you can claim points for your 2nd credential because WES did not evaluate it as a CERTIFICATE, DIPLOMA OR DEGREE. Just a program won't do.
