Express entry stages.

I have applied for express entry on August 20 got my medical and biometric request by September 5th. But after that the status doesn't change it shows eligibility check is in progress, idk how much time does it take. What happens after that ? what does they check in eligibility test?

You should just sit back and wait. You are still in time for the 6 month period.

Not it's not for sure, many people have their applications still being processed after the 6 month period. Just a quick check on the forum and you''ll see many people who have not had their applications processed within the 6 month period.

You just have to be patient for now.

Should I email them because my IELTS result is about to expire in January and my estimated application process time is February 20?

No, your IELTS results expiration date is not important now that you've already received your invitation, as long as it was valid at the time you received your invitation.
