Hi everyone,

I have submitted my passport to indian consulate in SFO. I am yet to receive an update from them. They received my documents on 26th Nov 2018. Does anyone knows how long it takes to receive about PCC from SFO consulate.? I had heard that if the passport is issued in indian consulate in US we can get the PCC in few days. I would appreciate if anyone else has recently applied or received PCC from SFO can share their timeline.

It takes one month
Did you get yours? If yes, can you share your timeline? Also if I don’t get the PCC by the due date of submission any idea what do we need to submit CIC which will prove that we have submitted but have not receive it from Indian consulate?

Hi,

Did you receive your Indian PCC from SFO yet? If so, how long exactly did it take?

Hi Dan,

Sorry for the late reply. I was travelling so couldnt get back to your message earlier. It took me a month to receive my PCC from India. I was lucky enough that I was able to receive just two days before the final submission of my documents after receiving my ITA. by any chance if I would have not received it in time then I was going to submit an LOE with all the necessary documents that proved that I had submitted the application in time but it was getting delayed by the embassy. Hence I would suggest just keep a record of all then necessary documents such as receipt of payment, who received your document at the consulate also if you can email them after around 10 business days for follow up and if they do reply to you then you can also attach that email to your final submission which makes your application strong enough from IRCC's perspective. I hope this helps. Lemme know if you need any other help..

Thank you Akshayde!

Had a question in Medicals, if all the four categories in the Medicals are not complete, the 501 and the next category states "Incomplete" and "required", the Doctor said it is ok to submit in the PR Application, is that ok or not?

Hey Dan,

I am not too aware about this particular matter. When I did my medical, the doctor said that he will directly upload the necessary documents to CIC and will share a copy with me. Once uploaded IRCC physician is the one who takes the final decision. IRCC also informs us when we pass the medical.

Hey Everyone, it may help if anyone comes back and reads this thread. I had gone to SF consulate on November 27, all the documents were correct for me. The cashier in the second counter said it may take 2 to 3 weeks let me check. She got some print out from the psk portal and attached to my documents. She said "oh yeah, don't worry, you will get in one week." I got it in 6 days. including all the thanksgiving holiday and weekend holiday.
My passport was issued in India in 2013.

my timeline:
Submitted doc: 27 Nov.
Got notification on 3 December for my tracking activation on my fedex return package:
Documentation shipped from consulate: December 2.
Got the document on December 3.

Only problem was the shipping label on the envelope I gave them. I had from address as consulate address and to address as my home address. She asked me to change the to address as well to my home address because as I paid through my credit card, it won't accept the initial zip code from somewhere else. The initial zip code should match the zip code to the zip code on my credit card. I asked if there is not gonna be any problem as the from address is different, she said no problem at all.

There wasn't any problem at all.
DM me if you have any questions.

Hi I recently submitted the application for PCC to the San Francisco Consulate, and in the Miscellaneous application form, I wrote " India" in the "PCC for" section, but seems like I had to write "Canada", but in the section "please specify the service applied for", I wrote : PCC for India/Canada immigration. Does that sound right? Is that enough? Do I need to submit the application again? I have recently emailed them clarifying the same. Please let me know. I already got an ITA and I do not want this miss this opportunity. Thanks in advance!
