Dear All

I am the primary applicant and is trying to claim 15 points for my Spouse's Real brother , who is in Canada on PR. When I updated the information on the site , It did not change my Score.
I am working in Canada on the Closed WP and will be completing one year in Jan,2020.

Additional points for candidates with siblings in Canada
The Express Entry system will begin awarding 15 points to candidates with siblings in Canada.
  1. To get these points, candidates will need to show that the sibling is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident who is living in Canada and is 18 years of age or older.
  2. The sibling in Canada must share a mother or father with the principal Express Entry applicant or their spouse or common-law partner.
  3. This relationship can be through blood, marriage, common-law partnership or adoption.
Studies have shown that as newcomers build a new life in Canada, those with siblings benefit by having improved integration into Canadian society.

Regards

Did you include your spouse as accompanying or non-accompanying?

Yes Please.
I just checked , CIC has added
- Sibling Points
- They have also added one year Canada Experience points also ( on December 3rd) , even though I will be completing one year in Jan.

My Question is : They have not added the LMIA Exempt Job Offer points. I understand , that the requirement is to work for one year on the same WP before being eligible to claim those points. But since CIC has added the one year experience points , I was assuming they will add the LMIA Exempt offer points also ( 50 ). If they do so , I will be eligible for the next draw hopefully.

Regards
Pavi

Shall I mark the answer to the below question as "yes" , since CIC has already added the one year Canada Experience Points
Has XXXXXXX been working full-time for the employer on their current work permit for at least one year? (Or for an equal amount of part time work?) (required)

When your application is reviewed it will be denied if you don’t meet the 1 year criteria.

Sure. But , i was reading a response to some earlier post , wherein it was mentioned that since CIC itself has added the points they are fine in giving a one month grace.

No, don't count on this. The system may have added the points, but you do need to have 1 year of experience when you are picked. If you submit an application without one year of experience, you can easily be denied by the officer who reviews your file.

Just wait a few more weeks. You're almost there.
