Hi Everyone,
Finally,
I got the Passport Request Letter for my wife (PA) and dep child in my spam folder. NDVO sent me this letter on Oct 7, 2019, and like a fool, I was not checking my email spam folder. I was asking my wife to check her email regularly after we got DM on Sep 27 2019.

Me being the sponsor was not expecting PPR in my e-mail and surprisingly they sent it to me.

It was yesterday that we send them photos+passport to CPC Ottawa address.

I enclosed only one Xpresspost envelope inside my package. I am not sure if CIC needed 2 Xpresspost return envelopes as per the count of passports.

Can anyone confirm me that was it ok to send 1 Xpresspost envelope for 2 passports?

Same with my application, nothing after pre arrival that was on Oct 16th. I am Nov 1st 2018 applicant.

People from mid 2019 already got their passports stamped and we are still waiting.

Yes you are right applicant from 2019 already got PPR. Stuck in background checks, don't know how long would it take. Are you PA or sponsor?

I am PA, all we can do is wait and hope it's around the corner for us too.

That's right, I left my job thinking it's almost 12 and I didn't want leave without serving notice. Here I am sitting home from last two months and they are sleeping on our files

My application date is November 1st 2018. File was transfered to local New Delhi visa office in April and it took 6 months for the local visa office to pick my file. And all I got after 6 months of silence is just the pre arrival email, was on 16th oct 2019.
There is no update after that.
What I noticed is that there is no way you can predict by when one will receive next update from them. All we can do is just wait

I hope we all should get the golden email in this month.

Patience is the key of every problem. Good things always late to implement. Best of luck.

Yeah at the same time people are putting their lives on hold. Politicians speak a good game about needing immigrants but legitimately married couples are left out to dry. They are unable to trade places with a guy like me and see what life is like in my shoes, being seperated since 2014 in what, the name of "safety"? Patience for that?
