Automatic Increase in CRS Score

Hello,

My CRS score automatically increased yesterday by 25 points from 447 to 472. It looks like this was because CIC calculates work experience month wise instead of day wise and my 3 years work experience gets completed on August 29. I also have a 15 days gap between my first and second work but I still do have 1 year continuous job experience.

Need advice as whether to go ahead with the application and explain things in LOE or reject it and wait until my 3 years finish? Anyone with situation here? Real scenarios will be appreciated. Thank you.

Forgot to mention that this score increase led to me receiving an ITA even when the cut off score was 460 and my actual score should have been 447.

Reject the ITA. You will get it again easily with 472. Accept it only if you received it after completing the experience in number of days.

I declined so many ITAs because of this as I had 3 separate experiences and each of them started and ended mid month.

When I ordered gcms, the case analyst counted 3 years 4 months instead of just 3 years, so I could have just applied earlier. I got my PPR last month.

However, it doesn't hurt to play it safe and have peace of mind by just waiting.

I got PPR 201 days after AOR.
This might seem like a long time but it's because security stage took very long time to start.
According to my gcms notes, I passed eligibility stage less than 2 months after AOR.

I have another question. My work experience is from August 29, 2016 - May 13, 2019 and June 3 2019 - Present.
In order to claim 3 years of work experience, can I accept the ITA after August 29, 2019 or do I need to fill the 3 week gap as well and then claim the 3 years experience points?
Any idea?

• their e-APR is submitted.

At the time of the e-APR, processing officers should compare both CRS scores to determine which of the following scenarios should be applied:

The case officer will calculate the number of years the same way as the online system. I know because I saw my gcms notes and the case officer calculated my experience like that.
It doesn't matter if you start your job on the 1st or the 15th of the month, they count it as a full month.

I spoke with multiple Canada Visa consultants for these questions and everyone suggested the same thing.
No matter what Visa Officer does, you need to make sure you are applying with the CRS score only when you have achieved it.
Different Visa Officers might treat this differently. They have seen cases where some VOs ignored it and VOs rejected the application. It's not worth the risk.

Did you already receive an ITA even though you're week behind the experience and claiming points for that experience?
In that case, you should reject the ITA and wait for the next round. Get an ITA after you have finished the experience and claiming points for it. And then apply using that ITA.

I don't think the point is what the VO is doing and how he is calculating the points. It is about you're claiming points only what you're eligible for. Some other VO might have calculated points differently and you could have been on trouble rejected if you had claimed points for the work experience you hadn't earned.

Yes i got my ITA on November 27th. I am in the process of filling the information.
