Points Dilemma

Basically my points dilemma below:

458 - Without this work experience.

484 - With this work experience.

A company I worked for 3 years in Ireland have refused to provide/respond to emails and letters requesting a job confirmation letter.

What documents I can provide to mitigate are as follows, explanation letter with copies of emails/letters sent, Payslip with salary and company name, end of year taxes showing income and company name, personal refrence letter from my colleague outlining my duties while I worked with him. I can provide emails sent from my work email to personal etc.




My dilemma is, will these documents be sufficient to support me claiming points for this work experience?

If you a have an email proof that your company will not provide such document then take the print of that email and attach it with all other employment related documents and mentioned the same in your SOP.

The below docs should be sufficient along wit your LOE mentioning why you couldn’t get HR verification. :

1. Offer letter
2. Pay slip
3. Colleagues reference letter with their contact info.

I have the email stating they are unable to complete my request for a job confirmation letter.

1) Offer Letter - Can't be got - Only physically given. Documents are now long gone, this was 7 years ago.

Am sorry to say but these are kind of scenarios which are highly suspicious to CIC agents and can possibly result in denial or extremely long processing times.

Not having offer letter is very unusual. Basic expectation to scan and keep a soft copy. 7 years is not that far back. It’s only recent.

I can fake an email Id and send mail to myself. Hope your company at least had an online or digital presence for CIC to verify.

There have been successful applications where the candidate's employers refused to provide work references.

You have to provide other supporting documents, perhaps your contract, payslips, and other information that would help your application.

It would definitely help if this company has an online presence, because at some point they will want to verify the company's existence.
