Hola everyone do anyone have idea how can i rent a house near conestoga college? I'm looking for any agent that can help me through it or sites where i can contact them from my country. I would be there on last week of december so before i land their i need a house to be confirmed. Any suggestion are highly appreciated. Also if any conestogian having same issue or need any member please address it here. Thank you

You do not need an agent, infact most people advice against agents, they will just rip you off. What you should do is check kijiji.ca its where everything is sold/rented including houses.

No they shouldn't ask for advance payment at all. Have them send you videos of the house and confirm with them, you are not legally required to pay in advance.

If were me I would go for an AIRBNB for a month or so rather than get involved with an actual rental unseen and maybe in an area you might not like or find suitable.

Anyone can send photos/videos of a rental but if you do not know the area you could easily be misled as not everyone is honest. Same could be said for AIRBNB but at least there can be come back through that option.
