Hello,

I have sent my application on June 15. E cas became available and I have received the email for the application that has been received.
I have not got any other emails. My E cas is only 1 Line, the application received. Is this normal?

If they need any documents will they email the sponsor or the main applicant?

Thank you so much
You should now be able to link your application with mycic

@robertp

Finally some updates for me on my MIL file. Interestingly, I applied for GCMS notes on Oct 28 and I was looking forward to find why my SA is not done knowing i have sponsored my parents and wife in the past and the sponsorship agreement is still in effect.

I got email notification to my MIL email account about an update. When logged in, found the BioMetric Collection Letter dated Nov 23 Saturday (???)

eCAS shows Decision Made as of today (Nov 25, 2019)

PR application has the following line items

  1. We received XXX YYY ZZZ's application for permanent residence on May 28, 2019.

  2. We sent XXX YYY ZZZ a letter on November 23, 2019. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

I am not sure why they would send paper mail when we provided email information. Also, I received my AOR by mail so not sure if they will send SA by mail as well.

Also, my MIL biometric letter shows our Canada's address but we checked the copy of the application and we used her backhome address in the application. Not sure if this is an indication that the file will be processed in Canada for PR application.
Line 2 is typical even when they send e-mail. They don't have any template for e-mail status update.

Hi All,

Quick Question regarding BIOMETRICS -

Is there any case where the applicant did Biometrics after getting PPR? Let's say you get the biometrics done at port of entry?

Or

Biometrics are only done prior to issuing PPR?

Kindly clarify.
Thanks

For PR app, bio cannot be done at the port of entry. If it is not waived and they ask for it, you have to do it prior your file get processed for IME and PPR.

Kindly elaborate our response please.
I do not understand what No means.
Thanks
Is there any case where the applicant did Biometrics after getting PPR? No any case as per my knowledge
Let's say you get the biometrics done at port of entry? No any case as per my knowledge , for moment Bio not possible inside Canada.

Or

Biometrics are only done prior to issuing PPR? Last step is PPR ones CIC have your Bio ( if required) , PCC, IME.

Hi Everyone.....
I received Bio request for my mother today.
Which I plan to set up at the earliest.
My questions are ...
SA still shows In process - is that normal
PA address shows my address instead of her home address.
I'm the representative on her account tho.
At the border do I tell them I'm going for biometrics.
Or do I tell them shopping ...and do I need to take any return air tickets to shows the border agents.
Please do reply....thanks

Anyone has the same experience:
Submitted application on May 17, 2019. When I submitted application father (principal applicant) is not in Canada, Mom was at Canada.
Sept 10, 2019: got biometrics for father, not for Mom (I thought exempted because she was at Canada when submitted application).
Sept 10: both left from Canada; Mom stayed in Canada more than 6 Months
Sept 12: medical exams for both
Sept 26: father did biometrics
Sept 27: request for PCC, Travel history, resume, passport
Oct 12: Submitted the above additional documents.
Nov 8: Medical exams passed
Nov 25: Biometrics for MOM
Anyone got biometrics separate for both parents? But they got medical exam at the same time, do that mean they exempted the biometrics first, but require later?

Hi All, my parents application is at a stage where Medical & biometrics have been done and IRCC asked for PCC and travel information form about a month ago. But since my parents are going back to India on Dec 9th i thought they can get it done from India itself than doing it here in Canada.

Today i received a reminder letter to submit the PCC and IMM5562 asking to submit it within 30 days ( Dec 25th, 2019). I think i will need more time then 30 days to submit everything as one of parents need a new passport as well, can anyone let me know how i can reach to IRCC where i can ask more time to submit the docs?

Also what will be supporting documents? to explain this situation to IRCC will my parents flight ticket is going to be enough?
