They took only 36 days to complete my GCMS notes. Thank god at least i have received it today. The following is mentioned in the note section:
"SSC Alberta result received/uploaded - Negative Case pending officer review."
It was received on August 1st, 2019 and still they haven't get back to my file. The sad part is i cant do anything about it.
If this is how they are working, it is very concerning. How can they just sit on files without taking any further action?
I don't understand how some people are being approved super quickly, while others are just waiting and waiting for their file to move.
I myself have been stuck in process for over a month with no clue as to what's going on.

They are processing 27k applications not just waiting to hear back about one file. The processing time specified is 12-24 months.

Don't believe all the agents. Most of the agent doesn't know what they are doing. There are very few good agents. If you are lucky to find one of them please ask all the questions you have. Yesterday, i have talked to an agent he doesn't have any clue about the process. I was calling them once every week. About 4 weeks ago i talked to an agent he knew exactly what he was doing; All of his comments were matched with the notes i have received today. I think my case is still on hold because i have another application (PIL) for which they have sent the letter about 3/4 weeks ago. If the province took similar amount of time, CPCM should have receive the response by now. Lets see.
Don’t understand the need to call weekly. Has it made processing faster? Doesn’t sound like it. Why can’t you just wait for processing unless you are past the normal processing times.

Many factors can affect timeline such as.

Application related factors:
- Is your application package organized and complete?
- Did you send proof of everything, with translations, all in good copies?
- Are you being completely honest with CIC?

Background related factors:
- The number of dependents: This has been reported to affect your application, especially if your kids are older. For spouses, the same principle applies, the easier it is to check on the other applicants, the faster it will be.

- The country you were born in Or lived for long time: The countries with more terrorism and less political stability such as Pakistan, Afganistan, Syria, Iran, and Yemen. These countries will take more time for processing than others. Because the security background check depends on external security agencies and partners, the diplomatic relationship between your country and Canada will affect this. If your country is in good diplomatic relationship with Canada, it will be faster. If not, they will have to use other means to confirm you are not a criminal. They will basically spy on you.

- The country you were born in again: Your application is analyzed by specialists for a cluster/region. Other things like do they speak your language, know your government website addresses, know how things look like, fake website addresses, universities that do not exist, companies and cities. They know everything. That means that, to have those specialists available, that will depend on how many applicants from that region CIC is getting, in other words, if they have 3 employees, the processing time will change if they take 300 or 1000 application per month, plus, how easy it is to verify that information for everyone, meaning, people with delayed applications will cause a delay for everyone. The problems for that country or cluster of countries will be a common problem for everyone in the cluster. That doesn't mean that, if your country get fewer applicants (let's say you are from Monaco, San Marino or the Maldives) it will be faster, because they will probably also have fewer employees or third parties of that cluster since they don't pay for people to do nothing. According to the immitracker, the paper-based inland applicants getting the fastest MR were from USA, China, Korea, Ukraine, and India. If you have been to Canada, I believe it will be quite obvious that Indians and Chinese applicants are not few. Despite that, their applications were going somehow faster, probably because they have more specialists.

- Involvement with the army: If you were male, 18, had to go to the mandatory army and then left, you show this document and that is it. But if you were a Sargeant, then your application processing time will obviously change if you were a Sargeant with the US or UK armies, or if you were Sargeant in Iraq, Russia, or North Korea.

- Religion: Well, sad to say, but it will change if you are related to a Certain Religion. Everybody knows that but nobody wants to talk about it. It is the big white elephant in the room. It will never show up in nobody's GCMS notes.

- Criminal background, criminal activities, general activism, political involvement: If you have a criminal past, please, don't go to Canada. Now, if you were unfairly jailed for a day or went to the station because you were protesting for a transgender thing, free education, whatever, and there was a clash with the police, you were young and stupid, don't try to hide it in your application. If you got a dangerous driving ticket, or even if you punched someone in self-defense, don't hide anything. Anything hidden will severely delay your application.

Now with that said:

-Countries were you live and worked in: Everything said above will apply to each country. I believe it is done simultaneously, so the slower country will be the culprit for your processing time, but I have seen people that live in too many countries having longer processing times.

-Dependents and applicants: Everything said above will apply to each dependent. Unless they are 4 years old.

-Past employment and additional document requests, travels (schedule A): If you change anything that belongs to your background, you have to update them.
Sorry to say next time dont name countries. There are many others also and I dont want to name them.

Don’t want others to think that call IRCC is necessary or a good idea. Calling weekly is not necessary unless you have a specific question that a customer service agent can help you with. I takes an hour to get through because people do call daily, weekly, etc. If anything the customer service agent is less likely to help you if you call so often.

That is true ...they mixed up on application in your case i guess ..
In my case its been 24 days in process - calling CIC does not help either . Thinking after a month may be i will order GCMS notes ...cz as Xmas approaches things are going to be further delayed.

Did you provide them an email address in your application? If you did then all communication will be sent electronically to that email, especially if you are their representative.
MyGC account is also quite accurate, the panel will indicate if there is any message/mail sent to you and include an electronic version there as well.
Yes i did mention in the forms i will be the representative . SO as long they update in my GC account for the PA - all good .
Still waiting details .
Thanks much for your reply .

Hi there,
Once we submit these documents via email, how do they let us know whether they received it or not ? Within how many days after submission we get DM ? TIA
I saw the change in status on MyCIC from "we need additional docs" to "docs have been received", so I took it as a confirmation. I doubt that they acknowledge receipt, unless you ask a specific question on timelines.
