Why do you think you were asked that?hi - i took the test last Wednesday but the interviewing officer asked for my US travel history so I mailed it yesterday. Does anyone know or has had a similar experience? How long did it take to get the oath schedule? Thanks
Thanks for sharing your experience. Will definitely try to contact the MP. I'll let you know if I have any updates. Thanks.Oh my, it seems like the timing is quite random for applications in Montreal. When I was in contact with my MP for my first citizenship application (Yes, I said first...now on my second) I had emailed a staff member responsible for immigration requests. We then set a time to meet in person so I could sign authorization papers and give information about my file. They may not be able to see a lot more detail than what is being given already, but they could possibly investigate/gently encourage more information from IRCC.
In my case - the first application was ultimately refused. I had missed a trip on my calculation so I was 10 days under the 1460 requirement (I applied in July 2017 before the October 2017 change in laws). My file was forwarded to a judge after my exam (Feb 2018) and sat waiting for refusal until August 2018. My MP office called twice to inquire, but only on their second call (end of November 2018) was the file updated and acted upon. So, I'm not saying it is a miracle cure and everything will be solved, but they do record all contact attempts by the MP office and there's a slight impact on getting updates versus not contacting or emailing IRCC.
Hope everything will be alright.hi - i took the test last Wednesday but the interviewing officer asked for my US travel history so I mailed it yesterday. Does anyone know or has had a similar experience? How long did it take to get the oath schedule? Thanks
No, you do not need to bring it. Good luck with your exam!Hey guys,
I'm having trouble gathering the exact documents required for the citizenship test.
Do we have to include the Physical Presence Calculator?
Did the test today in Scarborough and got invited for the ceremony tomorrow. I can't believe this long journey (PR + Citizenship) is coming to an end. My test invite came after 9 months. Please study for the test. It's easy if you studied for it ( I passed 20/20 and went over my answers 3 times just to be sure) but if you're winging it, you might have a bit of a hard time. These resources below are gold. The actual questions are obviously different but this is fantastic practice.
