I am a bit confused. Should the form be printed out and be filled by hand or should it be filled using the computer as mine doesn't not permit me to fill in the computer? And i came across somewhere on the cic webite that it should be validated. And I know validation can only be done if it's filled in the computer. Pls help

Ideally it should be filled on the computer using Adobe Acrobat Reader. I can't think why you wouldn't be able to do this as Acrobat is cross platform and as long as you're version is up to date you should have no problems. I found that the Travel history form was the only one I couldn't fill and save but the rest were all fine.

Filling it in on your computer does 2 things: 1 - makes it so that all of the information is clearly readable (you don't want bad handwriting leading to delays and having your forms sent back!) and 2 it auto generates the validation barcodes that you need for submission.

In short: make sure that you have Adobe Acrobat Read on your machine and that it is up to date in terms of version and you should be fine.

Hello all, I hope you are doing excellent in your journey to become PR holders

I have been following this threat since long time ago, though I haven't had any account here in order to post till now (this is my very first message).

Question, is anyone who has applied from INSIDE CANADA here? I Applied back in Feb 8, 2018, AOR May 8 same year, and so far no more news. So I just wanted to check and see if any of you are in the same situation? I have heard that for some reason, this kind of applications under the self employed take faster to process if the application is actually made outside Canada, not sure if that's true, but seeing many of your posts I can see that definitely your applications are taking much lesser time than mine

Checking online, it says that my application is estimated to be completed by November 8 this year, which already past as the processing times changed to 21 months a couple of weeks ago.

Anyways, I'll try to contact cic to see if I can get an update, but just wanted to see if any of you are in the same situation, again, have applied inside Canada and what your timelines are so far.

There's no one size fits all answer to that unfortunately. It all depends on where it's being processed, how many staff they have and their caseload. Patience is the key. Have a coffee, get a massage, keep working and saving get on with life: "a watched pot never boils..."

Are you able to get a PCC without a request from the Canadian immigration authorities? I too am from India, an am in the process of filling out my forms currently, I've registered my details on the PCC website but there am confused about this since they ask for a document from immigration to apply for PCC.

I've a music professional qualification, and not an academic one. Will I need to get an ECA for this self employed program? And if I have the experience, but not earning that much, will i be eligible? Cos I'm not the sole income earner in the family.

So far WES ECA is not required for this program.

Re IMM 4500: "Points are awarded for earned educational credentials as well as the number of years of full-time studies or full-time equivalent studies. To be awarded points, you must meet both stated criteria."

From the official guidelines it did not state black and white how much the applicant should be earning. I think that depends on what your intended occupation is/ how your biz plan is constructed...

I'm just worried my qualification will not get any points, cos it's not a university degree, but a professional degree. Getting an ECA would delay my application, and I'm trying to apply soonest cos of age factor. Is it possible to send in application first, then send ECA after linking it online? I mean is there an option for that?

As far as I know, from this thread, those who did include ECA had theirs in hands already when they submitted their applications. More like "it just happens..." as ECA is not required officially. Let's wait and see if someone more experienced can answer you on that...

List all your bank accounts. If there's zero dollars in one of the accounts, put zero dollars in the total column.
