there's altona\ Rhineland like Mustafa posted earlier and Brandon says they'll release instructions come December 1st. I guess we'll find out more about About other communities in the coming weeks.
Thanks @Ximena.
I have just looking around the Sault.S Marie RNIP jobs at this moment. Seems like some job posting is based on Canadian experiences and certification.
After december 1, 2019 not sure how the situation would change!

Its true that from central CIC directions are provided to communities at a regulation. Application guidelines, forms and checklists are available. Point based grid has developed. But how it comes that a outsider could manage local employers!!

From my job seeking experience to Canada, I saw 100% online applications are rejected! Recruiters usally keep away after receiving email.

I think this program is highly competitive among local and others, but also questionable in terms of selecting offshore candidates!

I would say it again but in my opinion it would be a good option to have this program without job offer.

Having some basic criteria and issuing work permit for several years, but limiting its validity to a certain community.

So let's say you have certain experience and education, satisfy other requirements then you are granted a work permit that would entitle you to work for any employer in let's say Altona for a period of 5 years.

Since you can apply for citizenship after continuous 3 years in Canada such option would actually be equal to PR.

If only, But it's not up to us. These communities obviously feel more comfortable with inlanders. Looking at the criteria available for several towns already, it's obvious they don't want people without the Canadian experience or at least family members who can help them settle in. I even assumed it'd be based on just superior work experience but I might be wrong it seems. I hope you've submitted the Sask papers.

I'm just waiting to receive some documents from government to support my work experience and have some doubts regarding proof of funds letter.

These government letters are probably the most important ones for me. Since their requirement of 3 additional documents to support work experience is quite a lot.

I'm also concerned about my NOC which may create somei issues.

But I will mostly apply. As I understand if something is incomplete of if they will determine that my NOC does not meet the requirements I will just have application rejected.

Then I will have to look for other options

I hope it all works out for you. I do find it alarming that Saskatchewan issued so many LOIs. Is there a remote possibility that at least 95% get nominations or are they just sifting through the bunch and picking the best of the crop?

There may be several explanations for that.

For instance all applicants will have to submit a non-refundable fee of 350$. Since, new in-demand NOCs were added they have issued more than 1,000 invitations in less than 2 months. So, it is just 350,000$ to their budget even if most of the applications will be rejected.

Another thing is that Saskatchewan is considered to be a province with high crime rate compared to other provinces. So, this may be the reason why they are the only province that allows immigration without either job offer or connection to the province.

By the way here is the list with all the communities, which will be updated regularly once more details for each community are released
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/rural-northern-immigration-pilot/recommendation.html

Taking into account that at the moment Saskatchewan has the PNP that does not require a job offer or connection to the community, I would assume that the community of Moose Jaw will also have the best path to Canada under this Pilot.

Hi,

Looks like there might be positions for Engineers also. Now for my case, my NOC code is 2133.
That is Electronics/Electrical Engineer position.
Don't you think, Altona/Rhineland area is not suitable for Engineers because this community is focused on more food, Manufacturing, Agriculture!
If you are only looking at electronics, Altona is not a place to be. But for a broader aspect of electrical engineering, all the manufacutring plants require people who have background in PLC/DCS programming or power grid. However, there might be really limited jobs in these.

I don't think the problem is online applications, it is because the requried sponsorship. As a Canadian university graduate, most of my graduating class got their jobs through online applications, not considering those people who have a connections to the companies. The hiring process usually consists of submitting CV/CL through company website, a personality test, phone interview and the final round of in-person interview. However, companies tend to favor the candidates who lived in or living in the city or the province, since they do not need to pay expensive relocation fee and the person is likely to stay longer. For example, when I applied for jobs, a lot of Alberta companies specific ask you if you have an Alberta driver's license. Additionally, all the application forms I filled out have one question asking if you can legally work in Canada without them sponsoring. In that sense, people generally don't get considered unless there is a real shortage. @Mustafa83 is 100% right about giving out work permit is a better idea comparing than giving out PR for people who can find a job.

The goal is to retain people in these communities longterm. If it seems like you are only using the program in order to get to Canada and then you plan on resettling in a large city you will be less likely to get selected regardless of your qualifications.

Assure you that it cost a lot more to run this program than the $350/applicant so provinces will not be making money on taking applications. Saskatchewan has a few areas of higher crime rate but in general is a very safe province with a low crime rate. The majority of the crime is due to addiction, poverty and various issues affecting the aboriginal population. Do you live in CAnada? Saskatchewan would definitely not be concerned as unsafe versus other provinces.

No. I don't live in Canada. Just general research information I found online, even though it is not 100% true.

Let's just hope that other provinces will follow the case and will issue invitations without job offer.

Actually this one has some decent NOCs listed as in demand, which includes professional occupations and not only skilled ones.

Basically if you get a job offer from one of the listed NOCs, have 6+ years experience in that NOC and are under 36 years of age you will get 71 points and will be able to apply.

But since once they nominate you, you will apply with their recommendation for permanent residence I doubt they will nominate someone without connection to the community.

As i see it they will give preference to candidates who have connection to the community and if there will be none, then they will nominate the candidates who satisfy the requirements as described above.

After all they can only nominate 100 candidates per year.
There are only a few professional occupation and a much longer list of skilled trades or unskilled labour. As I suspected and posted there would be a few nurses and physiotherapists but the majority of healthcare jobs will be the less skilled ones like technicians, LPNs, PSWs, etc. You will find need for these jobs throughout Canada.

I agree but not everyone wants to be in Toronto, Winnipeg or the likes. Some of us like the thought of the slow pace of a small town. The program organisers probably feel it'll be easier for the new intakes to settle in if they already have familiar people there or are already familiar with the way of life in the towns. This way people are likely to stay. I suppose it's only common sense for the organisers to go this route. It's a win-win situation for them.
