travel with passport expiring in 3 months

Hi Friends,

I am a Permanent Resident of Canada with an active PR card and I also hold an Indian passport. Now my Indian Passport is expiring in MAY 2020 and i need to travel to India in January 2020 and returning by Feb 1, 2020 before the passport expires.
My questions are:
Is there a six month validity period for passport?
If yes:
Would i be able to enter India as the passport would still be vaild when i am travelling?
While returning would there be problem at indian immigration , would there be a problem entering Canada? I thought having a valid PR card would be good enough.


Please advise.

Canada has no 6 month passport rule. Cannot speak for India or how any airline checkin will have their own rules they follow regardless of any official policy so maybe also check with your airline.
