Ghost update - due to webform response?

Hello friends,

My application has exceeded 6 months recently, with no updates after Medicals.

I had applied for GCMS notes but they also got delayed by further 60 days.

Couple of days back I raised the Webform query, for which I received the response today informing my VO to be out of Canada and asking me to connect with them directly for updates (no useful info).
However, at the same time, when I logged into my CIC profile, there was a message of an update in my application, but no change was visible. After I logged out and logged back-in, that msg was no longer there.

My question is - can this be considered as a "Ghost update" or is it only due to the Webform response that CIC had shared and hence is no indication of my file's progress?

Can you kindly share your views, as it is very frustrating to not know any status update, even after waiting for 6 months.

If what you saw was "Application/profile updated" under "Current Status" and then that went away, then yes it's a ghost update! It isn't related to your webform.. It means an officer had actively worked on your file! Call IRCC to know the current status of your application.. PPR shouldn't be too far away

I had the exactly the same ghost update experience after I made the web inquiry. I got their email response( very generic and not helpful) four days after I submitted the web form. I saw the ghost update on the same day that I receive the response on the 13th Jan.
Any updates on your application?

Hey guys. I sent my main duties via a webform because after I received my notes i noticed that I hadn't send them previously ( I am a self employed dentist so i thought there was no need) but i decided to sen them before they ask for them. Then 4 5 days later I got a ghost update. I asked around i was told that it was a good sign but can't tell you much more sorry. How about you @cliu629 @Jpsingh77 may i ask if there has been any update?
