Hi,

After an year of struggle, getting through a number of reckless consultancies I decided to do Visa process by myself. Finally got my GIC done and put all my research on my SOP , mentioning a strong statement about my future plans and my need to get back to my country and also twice that I'll get back to India. I took help from a consultant just to file Visa forms (as I wasn't familiar with) he did some small changes and uploaded . I have provided all the ITRS and current job letters and I finally got this :

Thankyou for your interest in studying in Canada. After careful review of your study permit
application and supporting documentation, I have determined that your application does not meet
the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and Immigration and
Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR). I am refusing your application on the following grounds:
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in
subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
• Your proposed studies are not reasonable in light of one or more of: your qualifications,
previous studies, missing marksheets, academic record, level of establishment/available financial
resources, language abilities, or your future prospects and plans.

I have no clue what made them feel that I won't leave Canada Even after mentioning a strong reason is SOP and also didn't understand what they exactly mean by the second statement as I chose my field related course, also met the IELTS requirements 6.5 overall with no band less that 6 and provided all my documents including ITRS.

I need suggestions , I can't give up , I have to re-apply.

I've done my B.tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering and worked as Digital and device technical associate at Amazon while working on my Canda plans. I worked for One and half year and quit my job after writing IELTS and approached a consultant who missed to apply for September intake . I later applied for Jan2020 and got admit for PG diploma in Conestoga Collage and Wireless Network Infrastructure was the course I choose which is a related of my B.tech study.

Your SOP need to explain why you opted for PG and not masters program since you have bachelors degree then how it will help you with your career in your country. Most people do get application approved when moving from masters to PG, you only need to have a strong SOP.

But isn't a PG diploma a common option after finishing an undergrad degree?

Hi Akhil,

You have no reasons to give up after all this struggle, if possible please share your academic and professional profile. Though i am sure a stronger SOP would get you through.

I too had these same rejection reasons and got approved in the second attempt.

It sounds like you have a well paying and high skilled job at Amazon. Am I correct? It wouldn’t make sense to return to school to do a PG. It is unlikely to lead to career advancement. If you are in a well paying position at Amazon it may not actually make sense to move to Canada.
