I have done MBBS,MD in India. I have been working as a lecture of medical university in Malaysia. I plan to move Canada through federal skilled worker program under express entry. meanwhile, I started medical registration in MCC and also prepare MCCQ1 exam still not pick up the exam date. Once done registration process in MCC, I apply to federal skilled worker program under express entry. Is this correct way to apply PR for my case?

You can apply for express entry at any point you don’t have to register first. You must of course qualify for express entry. The chances of getting licensed as a doctor still remains quite low because you will have to get into a residency program but there are very few spots. Lecturing in a medical school will likely be impossible unless you have been a practicing physician for a while in Canada. What specialty are you? Have you done research about the likelihood of IMGs getting licensed in Canada? Have you explored other career options if you can not practice medicine?

Thanks for your reply.
I did MD pathologist. Actually I plan to apply as general physician in FSW of express entry profile. Because Any how i can start my carrier from 0. Moreover, they won't consider foreign experience for doctors. My CRS score is 420 and FSW score is 68/100. What is best path to apply PR?

You can’t practice as a GP if you are a trained pathologist. You also have to claim that you are a pathologist not a general physician. CRS scores being accepted are over 460 these days. On a positive note there is a better chance at getting a residency as a pathologist than other specialties. You would need to pass both licensing exams and then match for a residency. Residency would be 5 years and fellowship may be necessary. Relicensing is a long and expensive process so you would need to plan for at least 6-7 years of lower income. You should look at the pay scale for residents. Physicians will not be eligible for most PNP programs so you will need to look and see if you actually have a chance of receiving PR given your current profile.
