You know what, this lol is because your spouse is with you in Canada but there are people here who have been away from their spouse just after their wedding and trying to get any possible hints..this forum is meant for the purpose so that we can share any info that we get from whatever source we can..if you don't know then don't reply..it's easy to 'lol' when you are not even having any tough time..for you it's only about becoming a pe but there are people who want to stay with their spouse and start their married life
why dont you apply for a dependent visa for your wife? that is what i did. she will get a visa for as long as you have one in canada...

Brother, I added my wife December 2016 and have still not got my pasport request. how can anyone know why it take so long? my visa office is Vancouver. have patience brother. Goodluck with the wait the wait brother.
How come this is even possible. The processing time for souse is 12 months. If it takes this long you should have done lawyer etc. This wait must be ridiculous for u..

Isn't the 12 months time is for spousal sponsorship! Or is there any time for adding spouse to the application after ppr as well!

Before landing if you add your spouse the application is still in progress
But after landing you can only sponsor your spouse

But yes, his case is totally different, have not heard something like this before

If this is a case then PR applications has a processing time of 18 months CIC should process both files in 18 months or they should add 12 months for souse approval once applicant submit spouse documentation.

If CIC is taking more than these time frames to issue 2nd ppr then is doesn’t make sense to me. I’ll be calling CIC tomorrow for clarification and will update you guys.

I explained before landing and after landing thing
That 18 months thing is applicable to after landing, that's why people add their spouses before landing

Yes but we cannot apply for spouse after landing so there is nothing to say about that.

What I meant to say is for example I got my first PR in 8 months and then my file got close and even tho there is 10 more months remains. I am adding a spouse to my file so file opens once again and I see that there is 10 months remaining. I add my spouse now so it is going to be the same application. So the application of my wife should get approve in those 10 months since it is same PR application and it has a processing time of total 18 months

That's what I'm trying to tell you this 18 month thing doesn't apply in the cases when you add the spouse to the same application..there is no time limit..you may get the second ppr within a month but that is not the case with spousal sponsorship, that is not a part of the existing application, you have already become a pr and you are sponsoring your spouse, in such case they will pick up the file after an year

That makes adding spouse before landing a better option

People who got the second PPR, how long does it take after re-medical for both primary applicant and spouse is passed to get a PPR request?
Also, are biometrics mandatory for spouse when added from India?

Dude I have a feeling that he might have mistyped 2019 to 2016. Or he might be kidding. I can’t think anything else other than that

Hello guys .
I thought i am the only one with this long
delay. I do have the similar kind of profile.

Got married on Jan 30 2019
Got PPR on Feb 14
Added wife on March 15
Got medical request in a day
Passed the medical on April 4
Got a ghost update in Sep 5 (I believe that was due to the expiry of my medical that I did for my Express entry )
Since then there is no change in the account.
Still waiting
I called the CIC but got a formal reply and ask me to wait. ( I am an inland applicant and my wife is back home ) .My visa office is Vancouver .

After the ghost update did you check your CIC account carefully? Maybe that was a request notification of something. I agree that when ever you call or raise CSE all you get is general reply
