hello all
I have a question about my express entry case
my case have been approved and i have received an email regarding getting my visa, and i have to submit my passport, 2 photographs and the letter stating my approval for visa issuance, however my passport have less than 6 months validation right now and i have been advised that i should not get a new passport and i have to get my visa and then my pr card with the passport i have done my biometrics and completed my express entry profile, this means that i have to move to canada immediately after getting my visa but i wanted to leave later, i just wanted to know that what should i do? should i get a new passport or not? will my visa get issued if i present a new passport?
thank you in advance

my immigration lawyer said this to me:
"it is not advised to update your passport after receiving PPR"
also the letter from cic has clearly stated that my passport should have at least 12 months validation which conflicts with my current passport

If IRCC has said you need 12 months validity, then you need a new passport. Their rules supercede your lawyer's advice.
