Hi
I am currently apply for farm manager NOC 8251 jobs.

Can someone clear what kind of work contract will I receive when I will find a job, how does it look like ? Do I receive it by regular mail or just an email ?

From what I read, getting a manager job with that NOC comes with a PR at short time after landing. Is this correct ? Thank you

Some of the websites I use to find jobs are:

http://www.alljobs.ca/

Craigslist- http://www.craigslist.org/about/sites

Monster - http://www.monster.ca/

Workopolis - http://www.workopolis.com/solutions/en/product/job-posting/

AllStar Jobs - http://www.allstarjobs.ca/

Vault - http://jobs.vault.com/JobSeeker/Jobs.aspx

Indeed: http://ca.indeed.com/hire

Career Owl: https://www.careerowl.ca/

Good luck

Expect that any farm manager job offers you receive will be fake. Search the forum and you will find example after example of these fake offers. ANy employer wanting to hire you would need a positive LMIA. The LMIA process is very strict, takes 4-6 months and costs the employer over $1000 (non-refundable even if refused).

Even if you got a genuine offer from an employer with a positive LMIA, it does NOT "come with a PR". It would give you points but you would still need enough points from everything else like education, language etc. to qualify like anyone else.

I can't believe what I am reading, why would someone want to scam a farmer ? Im pretty sure 8251 guarantees PR at short time after arrival.

The same reason scammers try to scam anyone: money.

There is no guarantee of PR.

You will notice that in most of these fake offers they offer any one of free accommodation, food and free flights to Canada none of which genuine employers are likely to offer. In addition they tend to offer unrealistic compensation, a basic salary and often some ridiculous allowances.

In addition to above the scammers often create a website cloned from a genuine site to try convincing their target everything is above board. The scammers rely on people being both desparate to immigrate and also being a a bit naive or ill informed about Canada in general.

However if anyone can use Google generally it can take little time to spot a scam given a cloned website will often have traces of the original or was only created in a previous month or two. Also again through Google it is easy these days to check an address on the scammers cloned website to see the location is not genuine, in case of farms often a downtown address somewhere for example.

Add to using Google websites such as this forum have mostly seen most scams before.
.
People need to accept that it is almost impossible to get a job offer from outside of Canada unless someone has unique skills not readiliy available in the country, unikely for a farm manager role. There are plenty of residents looking for jobs who are much less hassle to an employer to employ so job offers received by anyone outside of the country, if it looks too good to be true then it will be.

Scammers have no morals and are just after money and in some cases to steal someones identity for use in some fraud. Which is why never advisable to share copies education documents or passports given genuine employers would not even ask for these upfront if at all.

Genuine recruitment agencies in Canada don't really work with jobseekers outside of Canada because the process to hire a foreign national is so long and complicated. It is next to impossible to find a job from outside of Canada.

If you want to come to Canada, you should focus your efforts on qualifying to immigrate.

Actually farm workers are usually provided plane tickets and accommodations but those are usually temporary farm workers and they are certainly not making some of the salaries I have seen in the scams.

Honestly farm managers are rarely going to be hired from abroad until the employers has hired them as a worker for a few years.

Ok stand corrected as sure some temporary employees do get such benefits although as you imply same as I have seen the overall compensation offered sometimes are obvioius scams.

Also maybe is only me but I find it a bit of a stretch that free flights would be offered even to temp employees from the other side of the world to work on a farm but hey guess anything is possible.

In B.C. some of the farm workers come from Asia. In Eastern Ontario many are from Mexico and the Caribbean. Would imagine since I have been on a farm it could be more Central Americans.
