Salam,

I have joined the pool of applicants today and now is the time to figure out the PCC. I have tried reading different threads but didn't get the info I need.

Turned 18 in 2008.

2008-12 Lahore
2012-13 Vehari
2013-15 Germany
2015-present Lahore

I have already applied for PCC from Germany.
My ID card bears the same permanent and temporary address and that is of Vehari. Where should I get my PCC? Is getting one from my home district enough? what dates should it have? Please help.

yes, in your application when you are asked for an addess history, just use your Vehari address since that is the permanent address that you have had during all this time. Also just get a PCC issued for that same address. The end date should read to-date and begin whatever should at least cover the last 10 years. Although i would recommend that you keep the start date from 2008, when you turned 18.

Thanks for the reply. I am confused because I have read people saying that you should not get the PCC according to your NIC but accroding to your personal detials which in my case includes Lahore once for my College and then for the job from 2016 to present.

So you think getting one from Vehari is enough? With dates from me turning 18 till today?

You need to arrange pcc as per your residential history and not as per cnic. You need to arrange 4 pcc as per your history. Your pcc should match your address history in EE application. It should also be in line with your educational and work history.

Again 2 opinions however I think in order to be sure and to leave no space for doubts I should get PCC from Lahore as well. However, I have no registered address of Lahore, will they issue it without it?

you can get as many PCCs as you like. It is just plain silly to put so much effort.

I know multiple people who have just used one PCC despite living in multiple PCCs and all have gotten PR. This is because, as I understand, the FIR is linked to your NIC and the permanent address on your NIC. So save your self a lot of trouble and just get one PCC made that is linked to your permanent address.

I was living in Lahore for 6 years out of the last 17 years. I just gave one PCC for my Karachi address. That is it. I also showed in my personal history that I was in lahore during that time but still only used the Karachi PCC because that was my permanent address all along. My application coasted through. Same with my brother and now my brother in law and a couple of my friends who I have been advising.

i wouldn't recommend that at ALL.
He lived in germany for two years, he'll need a german PCC. Adresss history has nothing to do with registered history on your ID

it's not two opinions. you need a PCC from every place you lived in more than 6 months. don't take chances

He will need a PCC for each country he lived in for more than 6 months, not for every single address that he ever stayed in. A lot of countries have just one single PCC that covers everything. There is no breakdown by every place that a person ever stayed in.

And yes, let me state it outright, it would definitely be better if he did get a PCC for every address that he stayed in within pakistan. But it is a difficult ask and not very practical for many people. So yes, getting multiple PCCs is better, but i don't think its worth the effort.
