They do not request fingerprints to everyone. I am not 100% sure of all the reasons but I believe it's done in cases where it's needed to verify identity (some people have similar names to others and/or dates of birth, for example), or for people they don't yet have fingerprints on file (you normally get fingerprinted when landing but maybe some people don't) or they may have some issue with the fingerprints on file (bad quality or something.) Because i didn’t get any correspondence from them after status changed to IN PROCESS as in my ECAS status shows 3 lines the last line shows that we started processing your application on this date. That’s it. Please let me know thanks
