I had my oath ceremony yesterday. It's done! It was a long process but it's finally over (well, still have to wait for the certificate, but still...) There were about 30 people (or families) in the ceremony with us and it took a little under 2 hours. You need to stay online while they go...

I also know two people who got invites for later this month (both are early 2020 applicants.) I'm still waiting though even though I apply in 2019...

I'm from Quebec City. Last I "heard" was DM back in July. I know two people who got invites to the oath recently but they're both from Montreal.

Oh interesting, so Montreal is currently (well, as of end of May) taking 2.1 months on average according to this page. Can't wait to test that out in *does some advanced math* about 2 weeks (September 16) :D I'll let you know the results.

Means a decision has been made and you're either in the queue for the oath or your application has been refused. Most likely the former, as you'd already know about the latter (they don't flat out refuse applications without requesting further documentation and/or interviews first.)

Since I applied in French, I sort of wish that was true, but my colleagues who applied in English months after I did are getting their oaths next month, while I'm still here, waiting :/

Just saw in another forum someone had their oath yesterday in Montreal. So it's happening albeit slowly for us :/ Their application was sent in August 2019, began processing in november, test done April 30 2021, oath invite August 4th

January and February 2020. They had their DMs in late June and early July 2021 respectively. One of them was asked for FP and neither had interviews or passport request. Edit: I mistakenly said their tests were June and July, that's actually their DMs. I don't remember when their tests...

I think proportionally there's less people from the Montreal office in these forums than from other offices. I know four people in the process that are not in here, two of them received oath invites in the last few weeks.

FWIW I have two colleagues who got their invites in the last two weeks, both for oath in September. They both applied in early 2020, about 7 months after I did… they both passed their tests in late June and early July.

People cope with anxiety in different ways. And to some, coming up with conspiracy theories helps. In the end, it's all speculation. Citizenship is an entirely federal process. Go check the French language citizenship forum: people complain they should have applied in English because it's so...
