Adding spouse after ppr, taking too long, please connect here

Hi,

I am a newbie so I don’t know about it. I don’t think if this will effect since you already got ppr. You can call CIC and ask what documents you will have to submit because these are the docmuments I will have to submit maybe it will be different for you.

Also keep be updated about your process since we are in a same boat. I am submitting all the requested documents via web form in a week.

At what point of process you are at rightnow?

I emailed CIC London office with my marriage certificate and waiting for their reply.

I Also did that via web form. After 3 weeks VO from Sydney office replied me and requested my passport and copr to cancel after that I didn’t heard anything from VO. CIC customer service told me to apply myself via web form and they sent me application kit which I already told u. I hope VO also reply you soon. Good luck

I think they have changed their process.. earlier they used to give second ppr within 4-6 weeks but now everyone is closed to 8 months, they have stopped giving preference to the spouse

Anyone here who has got the ppr in 2019 within 6 months after adding the spouse??

It's not everyone. it's mainly people who's VO is Vancouver as Vancouver is there special processing center. they normally look deeper in to the file hence take longer. i initially applied August 2017 and got my first ppr feb 2019. sucks but all we can do is wait....

You know what, this lol is because your spouse is with you in Canada but there are people here who have been away from their spouse just after their wedding and trying to get any possible hints..this forum is meant for the purpose so that we can share any info that we get from whatever source we can..if you don't know then don't reply..it's easy to 'lol' when you are not even having any tough time..for you it's only about becoming a pe but there are people who want to stay with their spouse and start their married life

Brother, I added my wife December 2016 and have still not got my pasport request. how can anyone know why it take so long? my visa office is Vancouver. have patience brother. Goodluck with the wait the wait brother.
