Work Permit Extension Under OINP Nomination

Hi,

I am currently on PGWP and has been nominated under OINP International Student with Job Offer Stream. I have submitted my application for Permanent Residence on June 2019. However, the process normally takes 15-18 months and my PGWP will expire on August 2020. I received a Work Permit Support Letter along with my nomination. The letter says I should submit proof of employer compliance fee along with my application for the work permit extension. But when I checked the website, it says I don't need it since I am on an open work permit. Can anyone please shed a light on this?

I am currently working with the employer who sponsored me under this stream with an Open Work Permit which expires on March 2022. Along with the nomination I got a Work Permit Support Letter. Hello. First of all, congrats!

I actually went to the boarder by flagpoling to get my work permit extension. When I got there, I submitted all the requirements and paid the fee. However, I ended up having my application refused. They were asking for my employer job offer number which I did not have.

I think you have plenty of time with your current work permit. You should be able to get your PR status before your eork permit expires.

You should be able to get your PR long before your work permit expires.

I am still waiting for my employer to pay the employer compliance fee. If not, I think I will just apply for BOWP if I don't get my PR application approved by July next year.

Yes. I have to remain working in the same employer with same duties, work hours and wage.

Hello. I applied back in October for the work permit extension but it was refused. My employer did not pay the compliance fee. I am currently on parental leave and will be back to work in February and by that time, my employer told me they will pay the compliance fee. It is alright to apply past the 6 months after they issue the work permit support letter as long as you attach the confirmation that you already applied for PR.
