I have applied for my TRV within Canada on October 19 and got a passport request on October 29. And I have sent the passport on the same day and they received it on 30. But there is no update till now and I have an emergency to go back to my home country before 10 November. if anyone has applied and got the passport on nearby dates please share your timeline. and please help me out

they received my passport on Oct 28 and my application status just changed to approved. I would say your chance of receiving your passport in time is very slim. The best chance is to call them right away and explain the situation liked I did yesterday. Customer service won't promise anything but they will leave a note which may or may not help.

Passport was received by CPC Ottawa: 28 Oct 2019
TRV Status updated: 04 Nov 2019
The return tracker has not been activated yet. I am supposed to fly out of the country on November 9.

UPDATE: the envelope was received by Canada Post in Ottawa yesterday. Today it was processed in Edmonton. It should be out for delivery very soon.

Did your application status change today?. And is your tracking id working?

yeah about 3 hours ago. Tracker not activated yet. I called cpp Ottawa this afternoon asking if they can dispatch my passport as soon as possible but customer service said there is nothing they can do now since they already left a note yesterday. I need my passport next week for a business trip.

does anyone know why an application could take longer than normal? I ve been waiting since Oct 21. I cannot think of any document that could have needed verification or clearance. It should be a pretty straight forward process.

I submitted my passport on Nov 1 and reached Ottawa on Nov 4

Timeline guys:

applied Oct- 22
PPR, Oct 31 (passport sent the same day but after 5pm which means it will dispatched the next day)
Received at Ottawa- Nov 4
Made couple of call in between and sent an email as advised calling agent and one of the previous posts. (Not sure if that expedited anything)
Account updated on Nov 13
Tracked activated- Nov 15
PP received back on Nov 18..
