Hi Folks , Finally wait of 8 long months is over and I got request to submit my passport today.
Following are my time lines :
AOR : 15 February 2019
Medical : 2 April 2019
Request for Passport : 4 November 2019
Visa office : CIO Sydney
Thank you everyone who shared information on this blog. It was really good help during this tough waiting time

Guys this really worries me.
My meds expired in Sept and my application is ‘in queue for review by officer’. They haven’t extended validity of my meds or asked for remeds.

Does it sound like a potential refusal..?
Any thoughts welcome...

Nothing to worry as you got your medicals expired too early according to aor...generally people have 15 to 20 days gap between aor and medical....so relax you can get remedical request or direct ppr anytime

I lived in San Francisco. My rent was $ 4K for a crap apartment. Gas prices soaring at 4 bucks a gallon, state taxes the highest, literally the silicon valley salary goes in just surviving, 0 savings. Well said about legal status. It's a pain with work visa and endless backlog in the legal immigration system. Canada gives you the freedom and the opportunity to call it your home - consider yourself lucky!

Maintaining legal status until you get a permanent resident status or citizenship is a trouble every where except Canada. For me this is the best thing about Canada PR, no one will kick you out if you don't find a job or a sponsor within a finite amount of time. When it comes to savings, its near to impossible to save anything in all the G7 countries, if you have only one source of income, whatever you make they will take it back as rent, that tax, this tax, tax of that tax etc.
