Ah, I see. I oversimplified the my undertanding of word 'naturalized'. So your children, while citizens, will not be 'naturalized citizens', otherwise the endless passing of the torch (Citizenship) still would never end. Wonder what the term for that is? If there is one.
Exactly...I believe in the context, "naturalized" only has one meaning: a person who was never a Canadian, who became a Canadian PR and then citizen :).

That's right...if my children are born outside Canada, they will not be naturalized Canadian citizens. I don't think there's a term for it..... I guess, foreign-born-Canadian-citizen-by-birth-because-their dad-is-a-naturalized-Canadian ;D

I am still confused a bit, I would appreciate if someone can clear things up for me.
I got my Canadian citizenship in 2010 and my son was born outside of Canada in 2012.
Is he a Canadian citizen since he is my first generation.
I am confused because I was not born in Canada.

The requirement to pass on citizenship to children born abroad is to either be born in Canada or naturalized. Your child is a Canadian. However, any children that your son has outside of Canada will not gain Canadian citizenship through him.
