Does anyone here got different ECA from WES and IQAS? My friend who passed from same uni as me recently got his ECA as Masters from IQAS, whereas WES gave me two or more option. Should I go for IQAS as well?

In case I get Masters ECA will it cause any issue in future?

Yes you can go for IQAS.. I had gone through WES they evaluated my masters as pg diploma.. i had heard that IQAS evaluates it as masters. So i applied for IQAS meanwhile you can use your WES ECA

Just saw reference to IIMs - you don't get Masters in ECA for IIMs as they do not give master degree - they give PGP diploma. My ECA says 2 or more degree/ diploma/ etc.

When did you get your ECA done, from which agency and for which institute? I am planning to get mine done from WES.

Just a minor correction. WES doesn’t downgrade. WES is an accurate representation of people’s degree whereas IQAS hands out Masters to all for pure profit to increase customer base.

Anyway as long as CIC accepts IQAS people should apply there for more points.

After all in eyes of IQAS a post graduate degree from Harvard or Stanford or MIT or IIT or IIM is the same as a long distance diploma obtained from a local seemed university where degrees can just as easily be obtained by bribing the peon or the dean.

I dis my masters from a reputed university in india but still my masters was counted as pg diploma by WES however the same degree done by my senior was evaluated as masters.. this is what WES is doing
Moreover, no any IIM in india offer masters they just offer pg diploma and that’s mentioned in the degree itself.

I used the same account to evaluate my masters from WES but they still need your bachelor documents. So it’s wise to send them together else your process would be delayed as i suffered from same thing

I got it done by WES and got the report in Oct 2018. IIM L was one of them along with my engineering. I read a lot before on the evaluation and technically PG diploma is not master, so I did not reapply to IQAS or anything else. It might have increased my points if it is master but who cares now...

Hard times! I have applied with Toronto CES now as per someone’s advice, it gives me additional points and being at 457 currently leaves with no option than to explore every possible option..

Yeah.. if you get Master mentioned in your ECA report, it is good. You should write the same in your application and use it for points calculation. If it is written something else, you should not put Master - like my case where it was not mentioned as master for an IIM L PG diploma.
