Currently I am working in Canada. I just completed one year in IT. I am on work permit. I want to apply for PR under express entry. My wife is in India and she does not VISA or work permit. Can I apply PR for my self and later for my wife?
My work is getting over in next two months i.e. by Dec-2019 and after that i need to return back to India. Hence i wanted to apply PR for only myself and later for my wife.

If i apply alone for myself , will it cause any problem with my case?

You can apply for your PR and list her as non-accompanying. You cannot apply as a single person (as in, you can't say you are single) as that would cause problems.

thanks for the quick response.

Just wanted to confirm my wife not accompanying will not cause any problem with my PR case? I will mention that I am married but not accompanying my wife.

Thanks,

I will apply the PR as married and will list her non accompanying. But this should not make my case weak?

It will create some doubts for CIC as some people was questioning about this before

you need to write a detail explanation on why she is not accompanying

Thanks....

I will try to justify it. I will submit one letter of explanation with my application. But the only reason is I am short of time. I need to return to India by 31st Dec.

There is no need to go to a long extent in justifying why your wife is not accompanying you.

However, I don't think that if you list your wife as accompanying, the application will take longer
