Hello guys, my mom landed in canada on may 7th and I applied for her visitor permit on July 17th. Her 6 months stay window is gonna end on Nav 7th and I haven't heard anything from cic yet. According to their website it take about 4 months to processing these kind of applications. But she is gonna miss the processing time deadline by a week. So my question is is it ok if she stays until she hears back from CIC?

Why would you apply 4 months ahead of time? You should have waited until October. She will have Implied Status after her current status expires.

I thought if would have been better to apply ahead of time. So can she still stay if her status expires, until she hears anything from Cic?

She can stay until she receives a decision from IRCC.
