Any other Americans here that have gone to study in canada?? I know it's a bit easier for us and the processing times are shorter but I have a spouse and 3 kids so I'm not sure if that makes me more likely to be denied..... I'm looking at a school in Newfoundland

It should be very straight forward provided the education you plan to take in Canada makes sense based on our past work experience / education - and provided you can show you have enough funds savid to pay for your tuition and cover living expenses for you and your entire family.

That's what I'm worried about. I only have like 22,000 USD saved. And idk if that's enough. The school I like is 8kusd for the tuition. If my husband get approved for a work permit based off my study permit we would be great. But I'm also wondering if there would be a way for me to go first and then bring my family..... not sure what the best route is

IMO that is not enough with that many people going. You want to be in the $27K to $30K range in USD.

You can certainly go first and have your family come later. But showing additional funds is still needed.

Even if your husband is approved for a work permit, you still need to show you have the funds available to support yourselves.

I would wait until you can save the additional funds.
