My wife overseas and she got pre arrival after month and half from submitting police certificate but not yet medical is it normal?

Hi there - Sorry for the late response, In our case we already done Biometrics, medical and also Additional Documents. We are just waiting for Decision Made. But instead of decision Made we just received Pre arrival Services.
Pre arrival services it looks like a seminar to get ready for yourself to come in Canada.
This is optional if you wan to attend.

My husband received the Pre Arrival Services Invitation on January 26 2018.

Our application was submitted June 26 2015
I was approved to sponsor him at the end of July, and his permanent resident application started processing on August 11.

His medical was on September 29 2017

Can somebody give a rough estimate on when we will get PPR?

His GC KEY says:

Application status: We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.

Review of eligibility: We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility

Review of medical results: You passed the medical exam.

Review of additional documents: The additional documents you provided have been uploaded.

Interview: You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.

Biometrics: We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.

Background check: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check.

How long did it take your husband to get PPR after the background shows in progress?

After Manila Visa Office sent me pre arrival on June 19 2019, there was no update until October 7 2019.
On October 7, my gckey changed from “your background check is in progress...” to “we are processing your background check...”
Then after 2 weeks, on October 22, PPR!

@permafrost_can......I have a question, my wife and I live in the US, my wife is the sponsor and I am the PA, our application is in AVO and its in queue for review...my question is my wife wants to go to Canada to apply for her driver's license and open a bank account and come back....Do we have to let ircc know of that kind of change?

Still now, nobody knows how they process the files. Did u order gcms note to see the details? It took u almost 1.5yrs from AR while for some ppl tonly 8 mts. When yr file transferred?

I didn’t order gcms notes. And yes, It took my application 16 months to be approved. My file was transferred to manila visa office in May 2019, 11 months after AR.
