More than 8 months since AOR - No updates yet

My AOR was in Feb 2019 and there is no updates yet, its been more than 8 months from then now.Biometrics was done after 1.5 months of AOR.
My medicals will be expiring on Jan 2020. I have written multiple emails and final communication I got was the profile is in final review.
I am worried about the medical expiry , what happens if I get my PPR near to my medical expiry? Do I need to redo medicals ? Will it be inititated by the office itself?

Most likely your medicals will be extended or you will be asked to redo your medical examination.

But do i need to request them or will it be initiated from IRCC itself? I am more worried about the time its taking for the process..

It will be done by IRCC on it's own. You don't need to do anything.

I received my COPR - Ready For Visa mail on oct 3rd and my bad i missed the email as it was in the Junk folder. It says that i had to submit my Passport within 30 days of the mail received and today (Nov1) I submitted the passport at VFS office.I hope it wont be a problem and they will accept my passport.
